So this was Quinn's idea. he wanted to do an Awkward family photo. The photographer really did not know what to do. We love putting people in awkward situations and see how they react. The real bonus was watching the reactions when they picked out their photos on the wall that this was in the middle of. Even the person who checked us out could not stop laughing. This is our evil genius at work.

We arrived in St. Louis and we are staying in the funniest rv park. It is basically a parking lot in the middle of the city. It is not bad since we can bike to the arch. We really threw Quinn to the wolves biking through the city. Had a couple of close calls but he is getting it. We are booked to go on the tram tomorrow at 1:00. Quinn wanted to make sure he got his beauty rest :) Today we rode down to the arch park and toured the museum after we bought our tickets and our national park pass for the summer.
Yesterday was a tough day of travel. There was an incredible amount of traffic when we left the state park in Delaware Ohio. Lots of construction and I think a lot of people starting their summer vacation due to the holiday week. We stayed in this state park in Indiana that was interesting. A ton of trees and the sites right on top of each other. We decided to set up simply and just leave at a good time in the morning. We have gotten into bad habits of up too late, eating dinner too late and getting up late. The time change was good for us LOL! We did arrive in time for the last day of the Gay Pride festival. They love our VT plates and were very kind to Quinn as he was negotiating riding through some people. The dogs are doing well with the travels. The best part is locking them in the motor home with the air running why we go off to explore. Ziva makes sure she sits in the front to make sure everyone sees her cute pitty Lab face. Looks like we will move onto Indianapolis tomorrow. Hit up Camping World and hopefully a campground where we can have a little water play. Alum Creek in Delaware Ohio is a great campground but due to the massive rain they just had there is ecoli warnings so we will move on.
After spending a lovely day on the beach on Lake Erie (some needed down time), we headed to Cleveland to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It is a 7 floor complex and the 1st floor has the most exhibits. If you don't realize that the other floors don't have as much you think you need to rush through. We saw the entire place and all the signatures of the inductees. they wouldn't give us a Buddy Holly distant relative discount oh well. The Great Lakes Science Center was next door and was free with our Echo membership so we looked around. We needed to hit up Camping World but guess what even through you are on vacation there is still Friday afternoon rush hour traffic. Right now we are headed to Delaware Ohio to camp for 1 or 2 nights. I am typing this as we drive and guess who is driving? You got it Nikoli. He is doing a great job. Our plan is to hit St. Louis MO by Sunday. There is a real cheesy RV park right in the city that is cheap but you get hook ups so we can go explore St. Louis and leave the puppies in the air conditioned motor home. If anyone reading this knows of good jazz places we can take Nikoli let us know. I will post pictures later. I took them on my phone which is not set up with an email yet.
Well....first boo boo I under estimated the rear end and took out a parking lot gate motor. Not much damage to the gate but really messed up the back of the motor home. Glad I brought screws and duct tape. After dropping the car off in Framingham MA in case Mark's semi conductor clients desperately need him we headed to Cooperstown NY. And NO we did not go to the Baseball Hall of Fame. We are not the family to do that. My boys would not even know what a glove is :) We drove to Ohio and we are staying in Geneva State Park on Lake Erie. We plan to relax tomorrow and then go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nikoli is hoping for wind so he can kite on Lake Erie. Long boarding is great in this park so he is psyched. We might spend 2 more nights in Ohio before going to St. Louis. In the meantime Nikoli has started to make Winston's tail into dreadlocks and he has driven the motor home in Ohio. He did great driving us to the campground. Quinn is happy to have the Wii U for the drive and most campgrounds out of the northeast include electric. Good thing last night it was muggy and rainy so the air condition felt good. Pictures are us getting ready to go. Winston is getting his dreads done so Ziva decided to lie on Winston. Winston and Ziva as copilots. We will post more of us soon.
It is early Tuesday morning and we have a few more things to pack. We will be on our way to explore our country soon.
